Ban , was at his best the other, day ,

I have been writing about for quite sometime , Now after the Bangalore, And Ahmedabad Blasts that rocked india this weekend, he believes that if ever the terrorists are to be tamed down, they might have to be given a job and the best job in offer will be that of the poor software engineers, under a American management full of Indians again,

 

I am seriously starting to consider that yes, people or the terrorist mastermind who can actually make people die over the justification that after death things will be nice, can do anything with that team in software.

 

They can tell,

“If you do this and this, and suffer in the process, nightouts here and there, work over the weekends, 5 times a day you give me reports, and if you also bring other people in the process , you will be rewarded some time in future”

 

Don’t you think people who can motivate others to die can do wonders in the industry ?

Wow, we already have too many boys from South India in the industry who will spend day and night in office, since they usually don’t have anything else in life to do .They will have a tough fight from this surrendered Jihadis in the software industry,

 

 

Ban rocks

Result of all

Well, though it comes out of Bans mouth , I have started to agree on many of his banalisms.

The one that he finally pointed out on phone yesterday was a sad one. He is usually melodramatic about anything that he says, He is thinking of job and may be higher studies abroad and I find myself stuck with paying LIC next month for a secure future,

 

Are we supposed to be so worried  , will the future not take care of us. Atleast as promising student that I was I expect to do wonders with and in my life too, But it doesn’t seem to be the planned way, One way of success is a robot like life where I wake early in the morning, eat very less all day to keep my self active and not to waste a single minute in the day  , then go to sleep in the night , come back and stuff my head with this huge code base that is increasing day by day ,

 

I think that there is no quick solution or any such funda in life. Coming to Ban, what Ban told me , kept me awake all night,

He had seen some tennis site, nowadays many sites have started to broadcast news and stuff like that online, since media and publishing platforms have changed over the years and stuff like online channels are continuously raking in the money because of their cross platform availability.  He found this tennis site where he saw Raphael Nadal on a holilday with his girl friend . First of all he is Spanish so enjoys the attention of any woman on earth, second he enjoys the attention of spanish woman which is a blessing outright and on top of that he has a drop dead gorgeous girl friend. Now he was caught sun bathing and then surfing in cool blue waters somewhere off the coast of the Mediterranean. Paradise was it ?

 

Well, according to Ban , the better you have lived your life in the past few months, the better are your holidays, since you have earned well to get it, you have fatigued your mind to deserve it and you enjoy it in pure class and solitude since you could afford one such private place. That is the power of the quality of your work. The better it is , the better are your chances of getting a good holiday, Isnt it,

 

Every body takes a break, what is it about we Indian software engineers always feeling guilty and afraid of taking long break, What is it ?

 

It is not always the fear of losing a job, not always the guilt. I will tell you what, it is damn costly. That is it, it is not longer possible for us to enjoy a good holiday only because the prices have gone up, who cares if we earn may be more than we thought we could in our early childhood, When I compare how I spent 60 k this month I have no goddamn idea left in me to explain this .

 

What is it about India, it pays you in rupees and expects to take dollars out of you, The Indian youth is in deep stinking trouble if things don’t go as it was planned to be. What India is today is one situation of chaos, A bunch of corrupt  people deep in the stinking  mud of politics , corruption and nepotism. A economy fuelled so much by the American economy.

 

 

 

Ban Ultimatum

After having thought for a long time, we reached a conclusion that yes, Ban is the new age thinker. The new revelation of this age,

 

He watched Dashavatar very minutely and with a lot of passion put behind. He now believes in the fact that yes, for a man like Rama to win any war he needs people like Hanuman , basically a man without any connection with his own family  , a perfect bachelor devoted to your service so that you can enjoy your life peacefully.

 

That is one thing that will happen over the ages , and it is still happening, look at countries like America, they need to have a country like India or a country like China. Yes, major towns in both these nations have reached a certain amount of world class touch to them and have some very costly places to live at, but the whole country still dreams the great America dream. They feel languished in this prison called India, given the first chance they will flee this nation. This looks like a sentence put on us for the past lives crimes.

How on earth will you explain to the Indian youth who watches a serial like Friends , or going back to the 60’s the portrayal of the average American middles class through serials like “I dream of Genie”, “Different Strokes”, Fresh Prince of Bel Air” ( I mean a bunch of them )  ,How will you explain to the Indian youth that they are enjoying a good quality of life.

 

Nope, we live in a state where we don’t know, whether staying back in this country is out of love or just accepting a second mother land. Well, for most Indians , all they want to do is live the American dream whether it is in this country or that, Our ideas, our lifestyles, our attitudes have been at the mercy of that nation that sits there in the western side of the hemisphere  providing the best for its average citizen.

 

Yesterday we went to this place called ITPL, which is some where on the outskirts of Bangalore. One thing I have noticed is as far as the private constructions go, there is a lot of development, but if one were to look at the condition of the roads out there, they are very badly planned and not under proper maintenance.

 

I don’t believe it, if you complain that the older towns have so crooked infrastructure and town planning that it is not possible to lay new roads, that is acceptable to an extent but if you are putting no attention to the new roads getting created, you are doing a crime for the future generations.

The government is willing to say only one thing

“See, we not only neglect the villages, we also do it with the towns”

That keeps their votes banks happy.

 

Indian Politicians have reached the pinnacle of politics, Now development, planning, strategizing against another country and self motivation are not part of their jobs ,they only know one thing and that is politics. Oppositions only job is to oppose no matter whether there is any good out of the policy, and the one in power has only one job to subdue them.

They have become the perfect politicians who only deal with politics

Ban Supremacy

I know I cannot exhaust the Ban series by Bourne names. Actually, Robert Ludlum did not write any more Bourne issues after Ultimatum. He died .

It was Eric Van Lustbader who continued the legacy , he even named it legacy. Let me see, where I can take my Ban. Well, Bans latest includes a lot of stuff, over the weekend he came with this cool idea that he should pursue management only to enter the HRs of big companies which cannot run well due to attrition. He plans to provide them with quarters just like Government offices. You know of this place called the SBI quarters, The AG quarters. There are so many of them.
He went to see his friend in IIT Madras, which has not yet changed its name.Thank you IIT.

Well, Ban says that the students loved the campus and he too was impressed by it and when they enter the jobs, they find it difficult to imagine a future where there is no greenery. He says that the grass on the other side will always look greener since there is no grass on this side.

That was a strong statement of Banalism. He is simply great. Well, he also fretted over the fact that our children will be called the children of concrete , all their small falls will be on conrete, there pains more deeper and the wounds indelible.

So much for a good job. He also came up with this idea that soon he will be able to open up a restaurant that will be clean but no ambience , that will keep the people coming for sure. According to him it is the external show that actually intimidates people. In between 2000-2005, software engineers were actually earning more compared to the the rate of infaltion and before the devaluation of money ( or Rupee ) to what it is now and they were eating out more often . But now with terrible times ahead us, we are not in the mood for any, so Ban thinks that times are ripe for him to come up with the ideas for a restaurant.
Actually most restaurants in Bangalore do come up with this theme in mind. Small, simple and comparable prices.

Today we ate in one , called Sethji , some where closr to Domlur, quite interior but cosy good, and cheap place.

Ban ended the day in Sethji on starting motor bike lift service from Airports. which would charge the customers less and for people with faster needs and less luggage, I think this business would flourish, though we did not have the energy to counter argue anything here, he won the field comprehensively.

One more mistake about blogging I learnt

Today I went to this friends place to check out his new room. Well guess what , he was spending time or trying to spend time on an idle Sunday afternoon by blogging. He was actually doing it on Wordpress.

Though Wordpress actually hosts some of the most famous blogs but it seems that the widgets for wordpress have to integrated with quite a bit of negotiation for you. Many of us are not conversant with HTML to the extent of making things as we want. So the world of better or good looking blogs will be left at the mercy of Google helping its users.

Well coming to the point of the blog, I actually changed the name of the post for which I was getting the most number of clicks and slowly the growth of the blog has climbed down.
Last week I got about 500 hits a day and now it has come down to about 20 a day. So that explains a lot of things, You should not change the names, trust me, it hurts when a month long publicity effort actually goes down the drain.

I went to Higging Bothams today in search of this pens with flat nibs , the ones that are required for calligraphy, I actually wanted to go to Gangarams on MG road but it was closed ( it seems it is closed on all Sundays ) . I ened up in Higgin Bothams. I will paste or put my pictures for flat nibbed pens in the next post .

Ban Identity

Ban is the man for  the day . On any idle Saturday afternoon when you have nothing  to do , ( i mean you can avoid the small stuff if you want ) Banalism go out of the way to help you save yourself from the clutches of persistent boredom of being a techie who had planned to do something on a Saturday and eventually losing his head on Friday night to have listened to lound music and a night out.

The way people take rest nowadays, we are definitely not giving any rest to that poor brain of ours. My laptop processor gets more rest than that slimy piece of cake that god put inside my head somewhere in the early 80's of the last century.

 

Well, Ban came up with this horrendous idea of planning some like FIIT JEE for United States, we have a common friend in the US. The though train went something like this.

 

"There is nothing to be done in the stock market, we cannot rely on other people doing their business properly and equally pray with them for his business to run successfully so that you make money from the stocks, it is essentially eating commission for either your service or your investment. "

That fired some of us up, there goes Saturday afternoon boredom .

 

2nd statement

"There is nothing to be done in the web field either, it is actually a business like a man buying a book or a camera online or a newspaper selling its stuff , or a automobile company advertisement , that we can make money online , but that happens only when a real business happens "

F word, he is right! we are just thinking about making a percentage of ther real profit and that is why with Googles power it does not make enough to be in the top 50 Fortune companies. It actually makes commissions from other peoples businesses.

 

Shit, that just put many of us off track .

 

Ban's ideas

"Our common friend in US should start up a small school in US, where he will teach children of NRI's out there the culture and history of India, from a very beginning stage he will have to do it, later on he will go up to the level of starting a Brilliants, or Bansal class for SAT exams in US. Actually it is kewl idea if you ask me,"

 

Well, that was pretty  much it . Since I am not a very good narrator at exactly what happened after that, but the stuff was pretty much deserving enough to beat any Aaj tak coverage by miles,

 

Today they were showing Amitabh Bachchan on a shopping spree in Bangkok which turned out to be him looking for some small token to remember Bangkok by , and the questions thrown at him were

 

"What are you doing here ?" <-- the question was getting asked in a shopping mall

Ans:"Shopping"

"Exactly what are you looking for"

Ans:"Anything to remember my visit here"

 

And then the camera man will focus on the reporter,

 

"We can see , Mr Big B here on a shopping spree, lets follow him ,............ Bangkok is famous for ... and .... and... and... so whata must he be buying ... lets see ... hmmm. ummm. .....well ..blah blah ,

 

I guess, we need to invent a new word now. Blah blah is not even remotely near to what these guys are upto.

 

Banalisms

I know I a, going to get hacked and hewed, and may skewered at high temperatures for a long time , if Ban on whom I am dedicating the whoel blog will come to know of this post.

 

Ban the identity of the man who has changed too many evenings, The gift of god to the kingdom of boredom ( so they say ) . Banalism is some thing I attribute to this man. Well, to start with I am sure this might not impress you to the extent that we are in, since the situations where Ban introduces his banalisms are expceptionally placed and to recreate the same aure would be very difficult. But time and again I will definitely bring it out.

 

Well, the latest that he proposed was the idea of Software companies going for the kill. They introduce quearters like government office ( you know the SBI quarters ) How the private company employees despise the fact that they have to sing "Do deewane shahar mei , raat mei dopahar mei " once in a year since the old house owner is getting greedier by the day and extra greedy by the night.

 

His idea is ,that will keep the families tied to the office ( actually, the HR;s diefnitely would have thought about it but they must have left it out of contention since they too want attrition to an extent. I believe in that philosophy strongly. We need attrition once in a while. Ban has his own arguments to counter against our ideas. His solution is that no need for the HR to maintain the quarters, We have to out source the job. There will be special gated communities and people who want to stay in those will have to let go of their HR or something. This is where we got pissed off , since in Hyderabad I pay much less than my HR, and that make my income go up by a few thousands.

 

But for an idea, a Banalism will be a brain teaser any time of the day.
