Tintin in Thailand

“Tchang” that  sound that Tintin made when he sneezed in Tibet.

Well this guy turns out to be some stripteaser in a male  or gay bar in Thailand and Tintin enters the scene.

Jolyon Wagg has come to Thailand to do business but did not return leaving Georgette behind . Georgette who will later pay for Tintin and Haddocks trip to Thailand.

You will find the professor in the mood to do the swing too in this one.

Poorly illustrated, one of the fan fiction stories this one turns out to be the worst one ever. Well, there are others like Tintin in AlphArt. It does not need an ardent reader to find out that the pictures are not that well drawn and the Tintin we all love, has gone for good

I found some more of Tintin cartoons in scribd.com , You may search it there .

My attempt at cartooning

I tried my best to find some time to pursue my hobby this weekend. I f I were to give a break up of all the things that I did in the last two days you might take me for a workaholic.

But yes, within the small gaps that the week provides in the weekends, I tend to be losing them too. In this way I will never turn up cartooning. Still I tried this thing about America being sick , with Ms Liberty ( Also known as putli bai in US  by the desis ) , I tried to picture her with a thermometer in her mouth and her other hand in which she usually has the book in a sling. She is holding a saline water bottle in other hand in which she holds a torch.  I tried to do a pencil work and then tried to scan it. It did not hold that good.

Yesterday I went to Odyssey , Walden and Crossword . These places don’t have enough stuff related to cartooning. It seems that a shop near to my office in Begumpet called the Deccan Store opposite to Meena Baazar on the way to Ameerpet has some stuff.

I am now flying off to Bangalore , I will come back and try to get back to it.

There is a store behind Dadus in Paradise, which seems to be having some stuff  for painting. I will also search landmark in Bangalore for the stuff. There is a site that talks about comic plasq for Mac notebooks. Right now I am using XP and think Flash should be a good tool for the same. There are no good examples of flash generated cartoons . But yes the flash movies looks good. Will keep you posted

Some official cartoon networks

http://cagle.msnbc.com/news/WarOnTerror/main.asp

Try this one. Some of them are hilarious. Osama shaving off, that could not have got funner.

This one is typical , though you might need some perspective ,

http://cagle.msnbc.com/news/Oil100/main.asp ( you need to sow more corn as Americans are slowly moving into a fuel that will be generated from corns )

If you are a commodities investor , it is right time to get into corns and if you are a farmer, sow it man

I have been browsing all day.

Lulu and its adventures

For bloggers the new in thing of the year 2005 was the Lulu Blooker prize.

Let me get you some perspective on Lulu is a publishing site which will help you with a lot of stuff for which you might had required a lot of networking and social contacts and a lot of travel to do to.

Whats funny is that they have now started the LuLu Blooker prize. And there are serious contenders out there for the same. Starting from a few peoples daily ramblings to ones frustrations in the work place. Blogging about somebodys love life, to cooking, to household do yourselves stuff, blogging has come a long way.

Now we have hundreds of genres of blogging, millions of bloggers.

OS s are developed with proper blogging facilities, MS WORD 2007 itself has a blog special interface. There are hundreds of platforms from which you can blog, mobile, net and you can go offline. With data card coming in faster versions in the last few days I bet that soon we will have people blogging all over the place. Typing from the airports, from the cafes, from their office cabs , everywhere,

With mobile blogging being a bit difficult to attain with typing speed limitations, ( I am not talking of guiness world record holders in mobile typing ) I bet that net will remain the favorite platform for a long time to come.

Lulu Blooker prize  was started in the year 2005 to mark the 450th anniversary of the Gutenbergs invention of the moveable type.

The categories are fiction , non –ficiton and comics. Though many of the new blooks are yet to become a common shelf item there are a few that are slowly picking up the heat  like the Salam Pax: The Clandestine Diary of an Ordinary Iraqi (Grove Press) . It is about the Iraq war and people are still in mystery about the author of this one.

Some of internets finest known brands will soon be available in the book format with the motivation for the newer editions will be solely based on the growth of the original site since the last edition itself. This publishing house (www.thefridayproject.co.uk)  is completely one of its kind in that they believe in making blog stories successful in the publishing industry as well. Good concept and a way to make people write better. This will also make the blogosphere more competitive.

No blog is pointless but some of the exuberate a lot of creativity and we need to pursue them to get them in to a book format. No matter how many e books you have you will always linger to get a book in your hands.
