I just got one comment from someone on the last sketch I drew and have put up here. I was just sitting in front of the television . The memories of the horrors of the poor pakistani girl in the picture, brings a lot of other stories out in the open about the sad state of women in some parts of the world.

One more mistake about blogging I learnt

Today I went to this friends place to check out his new room. Well guess what , he was spending time or trying to spend time on an idle Sunday afternoon by blogging. He was actually doing it on Wordpress.

Though Wordpress actually hosts some of the most famous blogs but it seems that the widgets for wordpress have to integrated with quite a bit of negotiation for you. Many of us are not conversant with HTML to the extent of making things as we want. So the world of better or good looking blogs will be left at the mercy of Google helping its users.

Well coming to the point of the blog, I actually changed the name of the post for which I was getting the most number of clicks and slowly the growth of the blog has climbed down.
Last week I got about 500 hits a day and now it has come down to about 20 a day. So that explains a lot of things, You should not change the names, trust me, it hurts when a month long publicity effort actually goes down the drain.

I went to Higging Bothams today in search of this pens with flat nibs , the ones that are required for calligraphy, I actually wanted to go to Gangarams on MG road but it was closed ( it seems it is closed on all Sundays ) . I ened up in Higgin Bothams. I will paste or put my pictures for flat nibbed pens in the next post .

My blogs small milestones

Hi All,
I have now completed over a month on Blogger. It has been a tiring and research oriented journey all the way. Now that I am into serious blogging I believe that the human mind is one contraption that makes me start believing in God.

I know some of you will take the argument to a new high but I have started to think about bloggers block. Will that ever strike me since I am never running out of ideas for my blogs. I will soon be posting my 200th blog.

Over this month, I did not have single visitor in the first few days. I kept posting everything about my frustrations in my blog. Since it is a personal journal I believe and there is nothing to hide between me and my blog, I vent my frustrations openly. Today with over 33 days of blogging, 1:05 am in the morning of , June 10 2008, I have got my 1000th visitor.

Though most of them are coming due to my online advertising in groups around the world ,but I still believe if there is genuine content they will keep coming.

C++ is a major barrier between would be engineers and the happening ones. To get to do better stuff with it takes a lot of time and patience but trust me, either you have it or you dont, it is like any other language, beauty in it lies in it inherent mechanism to express a same logic in a much more sound way, just like the way Hemingway , Wordsworth did it with English it will be time for thee logical languages too.
Master craftsmen will keep coming, we will write legacy with these languages one day. Just give it time, English tool thousands of years to give to the world the pleasure it gives now.
To compare a computer language with English , you must be joking, but some part of you agrees, isnt it

My first site

I registered paragpaul.com finally.

I have it ready , now. I am trying to see some Bengali sites that are available. The ones that started in 1998 ( as early as that ) have   a good interface  but nothing much is getting written out there . We need more people who can contribute.

Profuse Host, where I have set my site is allowing me 200 MB which I believe is good enough as long as the articles written are new and there is not much hype and hoopla over the stuff out there.

 

I am trying to get some people under salary to come up with a magazine online. Some thing  Bengali. Though attempts at parabaas.com to translate great authors is always there but in all these attempts we forget the original Bengalis who want to read in Bengali.

Look at this one above, you will find a nice interface and lot of articles on the history and stuff like , that is like a school project where the editor needs to fill up with something, well that was good enough  for the years 2000 – 2001  , but now the period  is different . Expatriate Bengalis have now started to mingle more than ever and we need better interfaces than this.  

 

Some thing to share with everybody

This is my 99^th post and I may be celebrating one post early, But his post is only to let you know that my first earnings on line has started.   Back when I used to blog vehemently I never thought about it but today I checked my adsense (it was unintentional, just for curiosity )

 

I saw there .01 dollars, that turns to almost 4.3 paisa Indian. Though I cannot buy anything with that but definitely this is a start.

 

I believe that if I can do it twice ,than any body can. No big hopes and dreams just for fun. My next post will be the 100^th one for this blog and within this month when I started blogging  I believe that I have not put the maximum efforts. I can do more in the coming months with some reduced pressure of work .

Currently my past ramblings have been all been related to  the topic of my choice, the rising India from the perspective of the software engineer of today.

Welcome visitors

Hi All,
I have this cool app that shows me the current location of people who have visited my page. I think I am getting hits slowly. Since now I have visitors from Africa and North Asia I believe that my blogs is of relevance to people in other countries too.

I am attaching the picture of the visitor locations currently. If you believe that you are the only one from that region, you are welcome my friend.

One more note for the adsense users, it seems that images are not adsense friendly , moreover blogs are not adsense friendly to begin with. Sine a blogger may choose a lot of topics and confuse the Adsense tools that pick up relevant ads for your page.
I believe with the kind of whatever small advertising I have been doing in the last few days, I will be able to hit better numbers by the beginning of June 2008.

Not to bore you out with typical personal details this blog is a definitely a strong outlet for all the research that I have put on the Adsense phenomenon.

Nothing yet, May 19 th 2008

I came across this site which says  what meta tags to  add. I accept the fact and will give google bot at least a weeks time before it can properly index my site or blog into its domain. Soon I will also start web hosting the following website

www. Paragpaul.com  which I want use for other uses such as questions usually asked in Indian interviews.

 

I tried to post some things yesterday night, including my acceptance into the craigslist which is now one of the most comprehensive lists in the net for all the sites all around the world. You guys may want to try it.

Currently there are a large number of books online which can be downloaded to find out about the way adsense works and how some people have already made a lot of money in that.

 

I found one book today which shows a very attractive adsense account which generated 4000 dollars in the first month but trust me folks as I spend more time online trying to research about the way adsense the more I have started to believe that playing around with it will make your lives difficult later because will actively pursue your site and accounts once it has detected any kind of fraud in it.

 

I will have to get back to work , today being a Monday is one of the ,most difficult ones for me. Since other than doing work I also have to write a lot about what I have done all of last week ( in other words I have to give the status for the last week ) which is a very sad thing to do under any circumstance.

 

Starting after months

I started blogging way back in 2004 and have been in and out since then , but the problem is google keeps forgetting my stuff and messes them from one point to the other.

I have to seriously think about moving from here to some other place online if that is possible. Are there are other site which host blog pages. If yes that might be helpful.

I really want to invest some quality time and creativity in the blogs so that in the end it should not be like years and years of collection but no body to take a peek.

Well, it feels nice to be back again. This post will rest here, in serious hope that google does not put my post some where , where I have to google it to find it.
