Somethng is driving Nasdaq crazy today

Well,

Nasdaq is doing good in the beginning hours of the day today, Relaxation in trading regulations in Australia and also the talks of removal of Euro has been doing the rounds for quite some time now.

I believe the recession has its good and bad sides together, the bad being more, but since the business will go on and basic fundamentals of all stocks will keep trading without making millionaires by the hour, which was happening with our country for almost a decade now,

Some sad story out there , Karthik Raja Ram an Indian techie in US committed suicide after killing his mother in law , wife and children . He was suffering from financial pressure for a long time and finally succumbed to it. I understand the problems first generation Indians face out there. It is a pain of the decision and  money being the only soothing tonic in foreign land, but somehow  if that monetary tick dies, your world comes crumbling down.

Still, the thought , why he did not return to his country back is one thing that is looming large in my mind. I have no clue ( may be loans all around the place ) ,

A small cool trick

Well, I was just thinking,

If I were to conduct any interviews ( I mean technically ) , one of the things I will ask is a rapid fire session, where I will  ask , name 10 ways to find out whether  a machine is 64 bit machine or   a 32 bit machine

,

Coming back to the new trick that I was talking about,

%f is a percentage specifier for float and

%lf is a percentage specifier for double,

How you remember that always,  f->float is alright,

Now always read double as double float , ( float on your tummy or your back ) , Just try to think of this ridiculous idea, and you may keep this anecdote behind it that some rascal like me ( Rahiakil jee ) , was one evening bothered to call double a double float, because floating one both sides you become a long float, and due to it being a long float, I call it a %lf for a the printf specifier,

If ever some one tumble across this and then does not thank me for it, I would rather start believing that the world is not a nice to place to stay anymore

The gloomy Ashtami

From the eyes of a software engineer, Who is working his ass off, here somewhere in one corner of the country , where he is supposed to be having fun,

I just called one of my relatives, who is out with sickness due to his efforts yesterday ( I mean Puja Parkrama of course )

May be this is what everyone likes, the fun the frills and the filling of each and every corner of any restaurant, or hotel or any park or anything. We are in max utilization mode as of now in Kolkata. The channels are blaring all the time, there is no need to find out any news or any thing creative as of now, all the creativity is done for now. The city is vibrant, and there  is a lot of jostling happening here and there .

Though my appetite is gone, still sitting home and working does sound like a rather boring proposition but the lack of friends in Kolkata is another factor that  is keeping me home. This is rather a time to enjoy but commitment to work is one thing that I have somehow acquired after seeing the result of non commitment from others. I know how odd it is to be not present when somebody requires you,

The dhaak is rolling and as Derek O Brien once rightfully said, that his being a Christian does not take away anything from celebrating this festival of light, sounds and art. Small colonies, small alleys and every possible known place to man is decorated. People are gathering and especially the youth are out in their best,

Yes, there is a small problem with people like me who are sitting in between , we know that everything is meaningless, and on the other hand I also want to enjoy just like anyone else. Does every one else go through the same changes, Does everyone else also go through these feelings that everything is meaning less, In the end there is no meaningful existence and that the pursuit of happiness is a never ending process, and what point of time do you take a stance, take a look at what have you done , and where to put that full stop
